Introducing PPHI Sindh:
PPHI Sindh is a non-profit organization established under Section 42 of the Companies Act 2017, formerly known as the Companies Ordinance, 1984. It has been recognized as an NPO (Not for Profit Organization) by the Pakistan Center of Philanthropists (PCP), a government-certified body for identifying NPOs. The organization is also registered as a local NGO with the Economic Affairs Division of the Government of Pakistan, making it eligible for foreign aid.
It is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of seven experienced and versatile members, including former government officials from the Board of Secretaries to the Government of Sindh in Health, Finance, Planning and Development, and Population Welfare. PPHI Sindh started its journey in 2007 in Kashmore district and has gradually expanded to 22 districts in Sindh.
The organization was initially given this responsibility in 2007 through an MoU with the Government of Sindh (GoS) under the Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO). In 2013, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) registered the organization. The primary objective of PPHI Sindh is to restore health services in rural Sindh, ensuring that the health facilities referred to by the organization are fully functional and accessible to everyone.
To achieve this goal, a dedicated and competent management team was deployed, which worked diligently to ensure regular attendance of doctors and staff in health facilities, as well as a continuous supply of medical supplies.
